Lomé, 15 July 2025 – As part of its support to institutions in charge of energy in the region, the ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE), with the technical and financial support of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) through the programme “Promotion of a Climate-Friendly Electricity Market in the ECOWAS Region” (ProCEM-II), organized a training session for the Electricity Sector Regulatory Authority (ARSE) of Togo on 15 and 16 July.
Focused on the use of standard tariff models developed under this technical assistance, the training aimed to equip ARSE with practical tools to regulate feed-in tariffs for electricity generated from various sources: solar, hydropower, thermal, biomass, mini-grids, etc.
The workshop brought together technical staff from ARSE, representatives from the Ministry of Energy, and other stakeholders involved in the development of the electricity sector in Togo, as well as representatives from ECREEE and GIZ.
This ECREEE initiative is part of regional efforts to promote an attractive and enabling tariff framework for the integration of renewable energy in ECOWAS Member States.
