ECOWAS Sustainable Energy Forum (ESEF 2025)
The ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) is proud to announce the 10th edition of the ECOWAS Sustainable Energy Forum (ESEF 2025), scheduled to take place from September 18–19, 2025, at the Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara International Conference Center in Banjul, The Gambia. Held under the theme “Accelerating Sustainable Energy Infrastructure Solutions for Growth in the ECOWAS Region,” this landmark edition coincides with ECREEE’s 15th and ECOWAS’ 50th anniversaries. ESEF 2025 aims to catalyze investments and policy actions to address persistent energy access challenges, accelerate clean energy deployment, and promote resilient, inclusive energy systems in West Africa.
As the region’s leading sustainable energy event, ESEF 2025 will convene high-level participants including ministers, private sector leaders, development partners, and civil society actors. The forum’s agenda features strategic dialogues on clean cooking, mini-grids, climate-resilient cooling, sustainable mobility, and the energy-water-food nexus. With over 500 attendees expected, ESEF continues to serve as a unique platform for strengthening regional cooperation, unlocking financing opportunities, and advancing the goals of the ECOWAS Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Policies.
