On 6 July 2026, the ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) proudly celebrates its 16th anniversary, marking sixteen years of advancing sustainable energy development and regional integration across West Africa. Since its establishment in 2010, ECREEE has played a leading role in promoting renewable energy, energy efficiency, and energy access through policy development, capacity building, project implementation, knowledge management, and strategic partnerships. This milestone provides an opportunity to celebrate the Centre’s achievements, recognize the contributions of its partners and stakeholders, and reaffirm its commitment to accelerating the region’s energy transition in support of ECOWAS Vision 2050 and the Sustainable Development Goals
