ECREEE Webinar Series: Innovation in Renewable Energy - Blockchain-powered Digital Electricity

The ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) is now accepting applications to register to its webinar series on Innovation in Renewable Energy - Blockchain-powered Digital Electricity. The training is organised in partnership with OneWattSolar and it is scheduled to take place on the 1st of October 2021. The program is organised under the framework of the Centre's mandate to promote a sustainable energy market in the ECOWAS region and innovative solutions that will steer the region towards increasing the share of renewables in the energy mix.

Through this webinar series, ECREEE wants to highlight some of the most innovative clean energy solutions produced in the region. The specific objectives of the webinar include:

  • To enlighten solar companies and other stakeholders operating across the West Africa region about OneWattSolar’s business model and the partnership opportunities
  • To explain the sign-up and operational modalities of OneWattSolar to ECREEE’s network of solar companies and installers
  • To run a short live demonstration on the OneWattSolar website/platform on how solar companies can sign up as a franchisee and as solar installers
  • To explain the roles and responsibilities of all stakeholders and actors within the ecosystem of OneWattSolar
  • To expatiate the funding model of the OneWattSolar
  • To highlight the target C & I and Solar Home System clients eligible under the OneWattSolar funding model
