Grid-Connected Renewable Energy Flagship Projects

A component of the AGoSEREE-AO program implemented by ECREEE in partnership with German International Cooperation (GIZ), focuses on disseminating lesson learnt by developers of flagship projects, in order to raise awareness of the challenges encountered and their solutions, and to encourage private investment in the sector in the region.This documentation focuses on FasoBiogaz and presents the data collected during a site visit and from studies conducted. It covers all relevant aspects of project including the history, technology, financing and the economic and environmental benefits.

Until his appointment with ECREEE in 2010, Mr. Saho served as the Director of Energy in the Gambia from December 2000. Mr. Mahama Kappiah: Outgoing Executive Director ECREEE

The ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) bids farewell to its pioneer Executive Director, Mr. Mahama Kappiah, after ten years heading the Centre. Effective May 1, 2020, Mr. Kappiah has been appointed to serve as the ECOWAS Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York by the President of the ECOWAS Commission.
