DEVELOPMENT OF NATIONAL BIOENERGY ACTION PLAN OF THE GAMBIA

The energy system of West Africa is facing interrelated challenges of sustainable energy access, energy security and climate change mitigation and adaptation. Principal among the energy challenges of sustainable energy access are the widespread and unsustainable production and utilization of traditional biomass (firewood and charcoal).  This high dependence of the populations on the traditional biomass use continues to contribute to smoke-related health problems, deforestation and desertification and thereby affecting production and security.

ECREEE is implementing the West Africa Clean Cooking Program called WACCA with the support of the ECOWAS Commission and its partners. One of this year's activities is the WACCA Camp that provides training to entrepreneurs in this field to be able to improve their skill in the production technology and be more efficient.

Expression of Interest: Administrative Project Assistant

ECREEE is seek to engage an Administrative Project Assistant under the Project: Industrial Energy Efficiency and Resource Efficient Cleaner Production.

The project Assistant will support the project coordinator in the implementation of all project related administrative activities, mainly  in areas of procurement, travel/missions, organizing events, organizing meetings agenda, managing the project office, assisting logistics, communication within ECREEE and with partners/stakeholders,  or  any other activity assigned by the Executive Director.
