The Africa Investment Forum, a fully transactional platform and a marketplace for pension funds, sovereign wealth funds and other institutional investors looking to invest in Africa is holding in Johannesburg South Africa from the 11th - 13th November 2019.
To promote the participation of women in Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, ECREEE through the AfDB grant is sponsoring selected Women Champions in the RE & EE sector from Cote D’ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria and Senegal to attend the forum with regards to the Business Opportunities for Women in a Changing Energy Value Chain in West Africa.
The four Women Champions will hold Sessions on their various businesses, highlighting how to successfully navigate through the investment hurdles (i.e. barriers and challenges) in West Africa’s energy market, and debunk the perception surrounding women as risk-averse entrepreneurs.
