Development of the Small Hydro Power

The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in partnership with the ECOWAS Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE), the East Africa Center of Excellence for Renewable Energy and Efficiency (EACREEE), the International Center on Small Hydropower (ICSHP) and in collaboration with the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, organized Four Days of “Capacity building workshop on Small Hydropower (SHP) standards development”. The training took place at ROCKVIEW HOTEL in Abuja, Nigeria from March 19 to 22, 2024.

ECREEE engaged in ROGEAP activities

The ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) has once again demonstrated its commitment to strengthening regional collaboration and media engagement in the sustainable energy sector by participating in the 2nd sensitization workshop organized by the Regional Off-Grid Electricity Access Project (ROGEAP), from March 13 to 14, 2024 in Lomé - Togo, for the network of journalists collaborating with the project.

ECREEE hosts the 2nd Steering Committee Meeting of the ECOWAS Green Hydrogen Program

Praia, March 14, 2024- ECREEE, in collaboration with WASCAL, has organized the second steering committee meeting of the ECOWAS Green Hydrogen program.

The objective was to foster greater collaboration and cooperation between members of the Steering Committee towards the development of green hydrogen in the ECOWAS region.

ECREEE at the Atlantic, Indian Ocean and South China Sea Regional Consultative Workshop

The Atlantic, Indian Ocean and South China Sea (AIS) Regional Consultative Workshop: Provision of Development of the progress indicators and impact measures of the implementation of the Small Island Development States Lighthouses Initiative (SIDS LHI) Priority Areas, takes place from 11 to 13 March 2024 in Seychelles, in the city of Victoria. This workshop is organized by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and the SIDS LHI.
