In order to coordinate and strengthen the efforts made in West Africa to fight against Coronavirus disease 2019, also known as COVID-19, the Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), under the chairmanship of HE Mr Issoufou MAHAMADOU, President of the Republic of Niger and President in office of the Conference of Heads of State and Government of ECOWAS, held a Summit Extraordinary on April 23, 2020, by videoconference, to examine the evolution of the situation and the impact of Coronavirus disease. -19, the Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), under the chairmanship of HE Mr. Issoufou MAHAMADOU, President of the Republic of Niger and President in office of the Conference of Heads of State and Government of ECOWAS.
