
To harness the potential of green hydrogen in the ECOWAS region, the ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE), in collaboration with the West African Science Service Centre for Climate and Adapted Land Use (WASCAL), developed the ECOWAS Green Hydrogen Policy and Strategic Framework, which was adopted by the ECOWAS Council of Ministers in July 2023, in Bissau, Guinea Bissau.
